About Eva
of design art love

Drawing her picture stories on flattened brown paper bags, Eva knew from an early age that she would pursue a creative life. Saturday morning art classes at the local public school were by far her happiest hours of the week. Without knowing much about the industry and relying on a hunch, Eva enrolled to George Brown College and consequently earned a Graphic Arts diploma. Perhaps it was divine intervention, but this proved to be a natural fit for her and she grew and flourished in the field. Eva soon found herself as a Graphic Designer/Art Director in the advertising and publishing fields, while running a freelance business with a concentration in graphic design and photography.

Beginning as an Assembly Artist at a retail ad agency, she then moved on to become Graphic Artist at Scholastic Canada and Art Director at a retail promotions company, followed by 11.5 years as Advertising Art Director at WeddingBells magazine (Canadian and American editions). Eva is currently a professor at a college, and holds a diploma in Graphic Arts, Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and Master of Science degree in Adolescence Education. Dipping into a variety of disciplines and industries has added up to solid experience that she nows shares with students. In addition to building a solid career in graphic design, she has also returned to her first loves of drawing and painting, where she once again spends her happiest hours of the week.
